Lanolin for industrial use

Our LANIS TECH products offer competitively priced wool grease and lanolin derivatives for numerous technical applications, including lanolin alcohols, lanolin fatty acids, and esters in different ratios. They provide emulsifying, fattening, oil binding, and rust-inhibiting properties.

LANIS TECH ingredients are found in fat liquors, lubricant grease, metal coatings, cutting oil, paint, soap and many other industrial products. Products are natural, sustainably sourced and safe, and display characteristics ideal for modern manufacturing processes.

Deer Tallow (Latin: adeps cervidae, INCI: DEER FAT) is a traditional household remedy for treating sore feet, callouses and rough skin. It increases the smoothness of the dermis, the thick layer of living tissue below the epidermis, and protects it from irritation. It is also used in pet paw ointments.

Emu Oil

Emu Oil (Latin: adeps dromaius novaehollandiae, INCI: DROMICEIUS OIL) is a traditional, natural Aboriginal source of food and medicine used to treat skin ailments and reduce inflammation. It features various valuable unsaturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), and linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid). Available in 30 kg drums (approximately).

Marmot Oil

Marmot Oil (Latin: adeps marmottae, INCI: MARMOTA OIL) is a traditional household remedy used in the Alps for treating skin irritations and rheumatic symptoms. Our Marmot Oil is solely derived from the fat of wild marmots (marmota bobak) from Kazakhstan, in accordance with IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Available in 20 and 50 kg drums.

Neatsfoot Oil

Neatsfoot Oil (CAS 8002-64-0) is a winterised mixture of animal oils, rendered and filtered from feet and shin bones. No mineral oils are added. Our Neatsfoot is a light, yellowish oil. It is stable and retains its lubricating properties at a very low temperature, compared to body fat. Available in 200 kg drums.

Bone Products

With decades of relationship-building and cooperation with our long-standing bone ash manufacturer, we are able to offer a consistent and reliable supply of this versatile product, used in small quantities as a release agent in casting channels; it has high adherence and can be used with liquid metals for:

  • aluminum smelting
  • aluminum casting
  • porcelain and brick manufacturing

Bone Ash

Bone Ash ST 130 consists mainly of a special kind of tricalcium phosphate, which is obtained from crushed animal bone that has been degreased and degelatinised. The calcination process of the bones takes place at minimum temperatures of 1000°C for at least 30 minutes. Using special milling and sifting procedures, the nearly white bone ash powder is available in superfine and ultrafine grades. Available in 25 kg bags and in quantities from 750 kg to 20 mt.

Bone Charcoal

Bone Charcoal largely comprises calcium phosphate and carbon and is obtained from animal bones. The carbonisation of the bones take place in kilns at temperatures up to 1000°C. Depending on the application, the charred bones are processed into a powdery or granulated product.

Bone charcoal has many industrial uses, including:

  • automotive brake linings
  • a colour pigment in the production of paint and varnishes
  • a filter material in water treatment
  • metal hardening

Cashew Nutshell Liquid

Cashew Nutshell Liquid (CAS 8007-24-7) is a multi-purpose premium by-product of the cashew industry with wide applications in surface coatings, paint, and varnishes, as well as in the production of polymers. It is a natural, non-food grade, annually renewable biomaterial comprising a mixture of phenolic compounds. Available in 200 kg drums.

Furfural

The word ‘furfural’ is derived from the Latin term for bran (furfur), referring to its common source. It is an organic compound and a natural component of many plants – obtained by heating the fibre source (sugar cane bagasse or bran, for example) with sulfuric acid. It has many commercial uses, including in industrial manufacturing, food flavouring, personal care products, and pesticides.

Furfural (CAS 98-01-1) is an oily, light yellowish to dark brownish liquid, and usually has an almond odour.

Available in 250 kg drums or 1,000 kg IBCs.
Furfuryl alcohol is also available.

Naphthenic Acids

Naphthenic Acids (CAS 1338-24-5) are complexes of carboxylic acid, obtained from different distillation fractions of crude oil, such as gasoline, kerosene or light lubricating oils. We offer several grades of crude and distilled naphthenic acid, with the main characteristics being the different acid values. Available in 190 kg drums or 900 kg IBCs.

Ester Oil

Ester Oil (CAS 67701-30-8) is an excellent plant-based alternative for Neatsfoot Oil. It has excellent lubrication properties and is characterised by good thermal stability, low stock point, minimal thermal effects on viscosity, high wear- and shear-stability, good filterability and total biodegradability. Available in 190 kg drums and 900 kg IBCs.
